De esta guisa nos presentamos Setsu y yo a la Saturday Night Fever de anoche en Voodoo Lounge. Además de ser los únicos "caracterizados para la ocasión" (pinchad en la imagen para ir al set de fotos en Flickr) –con la salvedad de algunos de los músicos–, éramos los únicos gaijin que había en el local, cosa bastante chocante porque desde que fui mi primer jueves en Fukuoka, allá por octubre, el sitio está lleno de gaijines (los jueves, claro, la noche de la cerveza a 100 yenes). Además, teniendo en cuenta que Setsu, taiwanés, parece tan japonés como el resto… allí era yo el único que desentonaba. Para más inri, tuvimos que aguantar durante horas la imagen de todos los japoneses que bailaban siguiendo las coreografías del dance supporter… ¡¡como ovejas sin personalidad!! Resultaba realmente difícil no dejarse llevar por "la masa bailante" y moverse de forma diferente, pero Setsu y yo hicimos todo lo que pudimos para meternos entre ellos, hacer cosas distintas y desconcertales al máximo. Afortunadamente, los refuerzos (Pietro, Giulio y Tomoe) no tardarían mucho en llegar.

Looking like that, Setsu and I went to the Saturday Night Fever at Voodoo Lounge last night. Apart from being the only ones who were "customized ad-hoc" (click on the image to see the Flickr pic set) –aside from some members of the band–, we were the only gaijin in the bar, which was really shocking to me since ever since I went there for the first time (on my first Thursday in Fukuoka, back in October) the place has always been full of gaijins (who gather together for the 100 yen beer night on Thursdays). Besides, since Setsu is Taiwanese and looks as Japanese-like as the locals… I was the only one out of place. On top of everything else, we had to watch for hours how all the Japanese dancers followed move by move the choreography of the dance supporters… like sheep with no personality!! It was utterly difficult to avoid being influenced by "the dancing mass" and move in a different way, but Setsu and I did our best to get in their way, do something completely different and annoy them to the utmost. Luckily, the reinforcements (Pietro, Giulio and Tomoe) would come soon.
